Right click on Age of Empires II: HD Edition - Select Properties - Select the Local Files tab - Select Browse Local Files - Right click AoK HD. running with the "NoStartUp" in the launch options on steam running the game in Windows XP SP3 mode I've tried doing the Ctrl + C method, with no luck.
Note I have left it for a long time upwards of 10 minutes in this screen waiting for something to happen with no avail.

If I have Automatically close checked the timer in the top right barely makes 1 second before the game crashes. I launched this game a couple times and it keeps happening. Its reached like 20 minutes now and still nothing has happened. There is no option to close the window and theres a timer on the top right. After clicking play on the splash screen, age of empries loads up to display some form of debugging window to "Validate subsciptions"Īfter pressing the Okay button the game instantly crashes. When I first launch the game, it gets stuck on this screen that says Validating Subscriptions.
